1. Introduction
EdgeTK respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit edgetk.com, which we call the "Website", or purchase our products, how we use and protect that information, and the rights you have over it.
EdgeTK is an independently operated digital platform that sells digital toolkits and downloadable files to professionals. In this policy, the words "EdgeTK", "we", "us", and "our" refer to the operator of the platform.
We handle personal data in line with the applicable data protection law of the jurisdiction in which we operate. If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also applies to our processing of your personal data, and equivalent rights may apply under the laws of other regions.
Please read this policy together with our Cookie Policy, which explains how we use cookies and similar technologies.
2. Who is responsible for your data
EdgeTK, as the operator of the Website, is responsible for deciding how your personal data is collected and used. This role is sometimes called the "data controller". If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at contact@edgetk.com.
3. The information we collect
We collect the following categories of information.
Information you provide to us. When you make a purchase, create an account, or contact us, you may provide:
• Your name and email address.
• The billing details needed to complete your purchase.
• Any information you include when you contact us for support.
Payment information. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers, Tap Payment and PayPal. They collect and process the payment details needed to complete your transaction. We do not collect or store your full payment card details.
Information we collect automatically. When you visit the Website, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you interact with the Website. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, as explained in our Cookie Policy.
Information from third parties. We may receive information from our service providers, such as confirmation of a completed payment from Tap Payment or PayPal, and aggregated analytics about how the Website is used.
4. How we use your information
We use your personal data to:
• Process your orders and deliver your digital products.
• Provide customer support and respond to your enquiries.
• Create and manage your account, if you choose to create one.
• Send you transactional messages, such as order confirmations and download links.
• Send you marketing emails, where you have agreed to receive them.
• Operate, maintain, and improve the Website and our products.
• Understand how the Website is used, through analytics.
• Protect the Website against fraud, abuse, and security risks.
• Meet our legal, accounting, and record-keeping obligations.
5. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the following legal bases to process your personal data:
• Performance of a contract, to process and deliver the products you purchase.
• Your consent, for marketing emails and for non-essential cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
• Our legitimate interests, to keep the Website secure, to understand and improve how it is used, and to run our business, provided these interests are not overridden by your rights.
• Compliance with a legal obligation, such as keeping records of transactions.
6. Marketing communications
If you have agreed to receive marketing emails from us, we may send you updates about new products, offers, and useful content. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or by contacting us at contact@edgetk.com. Unsubscribing from marketing emails does not stop the transactional messages that are necessary to complete and confirm your orders.
7. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Website, to understand how it is used, and, in future, to support our marketing. These fall into three categories:
• Essential cookies, which are always active and are needed for the Website and checkout to work.
• Analytics cookies, which help us understand how visitors use the Website.
• Marketing cookies, which may be used to measure and improve our advertising.
At launch, we use only essential cookies and the analytics provided by our platform. Analytics and marketing technologies from third parties, such as advertising and measurement tags, are activated only with your consent where required. Full details, and the controls available to you, are set out in our Cookie Policy.
8. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers, and in the situations, described below.
• Platform and hosting. Our Website and checkout, and customer accounts where created, operate on Shopify, which stores the related data on our behalf.
• Payment processing. Tap Payment and PayPal process your payments securely.
• Email. Our email provider helps us send transactional and, where you have agreed, marketing emails on our behalf.
• Analytics and advertising. Where enabled, analytics and advertising providers help us understand Website usage and measure our marketing.
• Legal reasons. We may disclose information where required by law, or to protect our rights, our users, or the security of the Website.
• Business transfers. If our business is reorganized, merged, or transferred, your information may be transferred as part of that process.
All of our service providers are required to protect your data and to use it only for the purposes we specify.
9. International data transfers
We operate from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Because we use international service providers such as Shopify, Tap Payment, and PayPal, your personal data may be stored and processed in countries other than your own. Where your data is transferred internationally, we and our providers take steps to keep it protected. If you are in the EEA, such transfers are made subject to appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses, where required.
10. How long we keep your data
We keep your personal data only for as long as we need it:
• Order and transaction records are kept for up to 5 years, to meet accounting and legal requirements.
• Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to stop.
• Support correspondence is kept for up to 24 months.
• Account data is kept for as long as your account remains active.
When we no longer need your data, we delete it or make it anonymous.
11. How we protect your data
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, and we rely on established providers such as Shopify, Tap Payment, and PayPal, who maintain their own security standards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights over your personal data:
• The right to access the data we hold about you.
• The right to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• The right to ask us to delete your data.
• The right to restrict or object to how we use your data.
• The right to receive your data in a portable format.
• The right to withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on consent.
• The right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at contact@edgetk.com. We will respond within the time required by applicable law, and we may need to verify your identity before we act on your request.
13. Children's privacy
Our Website and products are intended for professionals and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will remove it.
14. Third-party links
The Website may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those websites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on the Website with its "Last updated" date. Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to make you aware of them.
16. Contact us
